Heat Pump Installation in Westchester County
Year-Round Comfort from a Team That Knows the Systems & the Savings
A heat pump handles both heating and cooling from a single unit, replacing the need for a separate furnace and central air conditioner. For Westchester County homeowners dealing with humid summers and cold winters, that dual function makes a high-efficiency heat pump one of the most practical upgrades available right now. At Zen Air Heating and Cooling, we install ducted and ductless heat pump systems for Westchester residents, and we back every installation with a free estimate, same-day availability, and a 10-year warranty on parts and equipment.
Our team is fully trained, licensed, and insured, and we don’t charge anything unless we do work, so a free consultation costs you nothing.

Our ownership team brings more than 12 years of mechanical engineering and project management experience to every installation. That background shapes how we size systems, select equipment, and plan each project from start to finish. We don’t guess at load calculations or default to whatever’s on the truck. One of our owners is also an active NYFD member, which reflects how rooted this company is in the communities we serve.
We work directly with Con Edison as a participating contractor in the Clean Heat program, which means we handle the rebate paperwork on your behalf. We also stay current on EPA regulations covering refrigerants, efficiency ratings, and emissions standards. That knowledge directly affects which equipment we recommend and how we install it.
Our warranties and team qualifications at a glance:
- Labor warranty: One year on all work performed
- Parts and equipment warranty: 10 years on all installed equipment
- Financing: Plans available to make upgrades more accessible
- Languages: We speak English and Spanish
Con Edison Clean Heat Rebates & Federal Incentives
Westchester County homeowners who install a qualifying air-source heat pump as their primary heating source may be eligible for up to $10,000 in instant incentives through the Con Edison Clean Heat Program. Because we’re a Con Edison Participating Contractor, those incentives are applied directly to your project invoice rather than arriving as a reimbursement check after the fact. Homeowners in Disadvantaged Community zones as defined by NYSERDA may qualify for enhanced incentive amounts.
Federal tax incentives for heat pump installations have changed. The Section 25C Energy Efficient Home Improvement Credit, which previously offered 30% of qualifying installation costs up to $2,000 annually, expired on December 31, 2025, per IRS guidance. Homeowners who installed a qualifying system by that date may still be able to claim the credit on their 2025 tax return. For installations going forward, we recommend consulting a tax professional about any federal programs currently available. State and utility incentives through Con Edison remain in place. Rebate program funding and amounts can change, so we confirm current availability with you at the time of your estimate, and we handle the participating contractor side so you’re not navigating the paperwork alone.

What to Expect from Our Installation Process
We start with a free in-home consultation. Our team reviews your home’s layout, existing heating and cooling setup, square footage, and insulation to recommend the right system type and size. There’s no charge for that visit and no obligation to move forward.
Once you decide to proceed, we handle the full installation: load calculation, refrigerant line connection, electrical hookup, and system commissioning and testing. If your municipality requires a permit, we manage that process. We also submit the Con Edison Clean Heat Program paperwork as part of the project, so the rebate can be applied to your invoice directly rather than becoming homework for you after we leave.
When the job is done, your installation is covered by a one-year labor warranty and a 10-year warranty on all parts and equipment. If anything comes up after installation, we’re available for same-day and emergency appointments.

Why Westchester County Homeowners Are Switching to Heat Pumps
Heat pumps move heat rather than generate it, which makes them fundamentally more efficient than electric resistance heating or fossil fuel systems. A well-sized cold-climate heat pump can deliver three to four units of heating energy for every one unit of electricity consumed. For homeowners still running an aging furnace alongside a separate central air conditioner, replacing both with one modern system also reduces maintenance complexity and can lower total energy costs over the equipment’s lifespan.
New York State’s clean energy goals and Con Edison’s Clean Heat Program are actively pushing the transition away from fossil fuel heating. EPA regulations phasing down high global-warming-potential refrigerants are accelerating replacements as well. Older equipment that relies on phased-out refrigerants can become harder and more expensive to service. We stay current on those regulatory changes so the equipment we recommend is compliant today and well-positioned for the years ahead.
